This article answers the most frequently asked Comindware Project-related questions. This list is not intended to be exhaustive so if you don't find an answer to your question feel free to contact our support team right away.



Q: What is Comindware Team Network platform?

A: Comindware Team Network (the platform Comindware Project is based on) enriches the basic product’s project management functionality with the social network capabilities. Thus, you get a single and adaptive environment where your team can collaborate on project tasks, share files and documents, give awards to each other, exchange comments, create chat rooms and participate in discussions. Q: What are the system requirements for Comindware Project?

A: On the server side, (if you run the -premise version of the product) Comindware Project has the following system requirements:

• OS (32bit or 64bit): Windows 7, Windows 2003 server, Windows 2008 server, Windows 2008 R2 server, Windows 8 Core, Pro, Enterprise editions with latest service packs, Windows 2012 R2 Server
• IIS 7.0 or higher
• .NET Framework 4.0
• At least 60 MB storage

All you need on the client side (on machines used to access the product interface) is the latest released version of one of the supported browsers listed below. Your web browser also must support JavaScript and cookies.

If you want to integrate Comindware Project into your MS Outlook, make sure your machine is running MS Outlook 2007 or above .


Q: Do you have a mobile app for Comindware Project?

A: Yes, we have mobile apps both for iPhone, iPad and Android-based mobile devices. You can download them from the App Store and Google Play absolutely for free. Just make sure you download the correct app since we have separate apps for Comindware Project.


Q: Can I work with my projects and tasks from MS Outlook?

A: Yes. You can install the Outlook add-in for Comindware Project and get all your project-related tasks, documents and personal reports right from the native MS Outlook interface. Keep in mind that some of the product features such as project Gantt Chart, discussion rooms and reports are not available from within the add-in (you will need to open Comindware Project in your browser to access them). 

Comindware Project for Outlook installation package is always available for download under the “About and Extras” section of your user profile (click on your profile image in the top right corner of the page to get it) and on the “Getting Started” page as soon as you get a trial account. Q: Do you have any videos or tutorials for me to start with the product?

A: Yes. We have short and helpful interactive tutorials integrated into Comindware Project itself. You can always get them if you click on “Getting Started” in the top left corner of the product interface. You are also welcome to check out the “Getting Started” section in our online Knowledgebase with the step-by-step description of the initial product setup.


Q: Is Comindware Project suitable for larger teams?

A: Yes, totally. Comindware Project allows you to keep hundreds of projects and thousands of tasks and work on them efficiently. There are no limitations on the amount of projects/tasks/users you manage using the product.


Q: How can I migrate to Comindware Project from MS Project?

A: If you want to move your team from MS Project to Comindware Project, you can take all your projects and tasks with you. In Comindware Project, you have the ability to import existing tasks from MS Project whenever you start a new project. Q: What reporting options are available in Comindware Project?

A: There are two major areas Comindware Project provides extensive reporting capabilities for: projects and user groups (we call them Resource Pools). Project-based reports will show you task completion and remaining effort dynamics while resource pool reports will show you what projects your people were busy with and their overall workload.
