A workflow consists of steps and transitions.
A step represents a workflow's current status for a workflow task. A workflow task can exist in one step only at any point in time. Each workflow step corresponds to a linked status. Each status can be used in multiple steps or in different workflows.
There are three different types of steps:
|•||Start — the starting point of any workflow, where you start working on a workflow task.|
|•||Intermediate — the number of intermediate steps is not limited.|
|•||End — the end of a workflow. The number of end steps is not limited.|
A transition connects two workflow steps thus allowing a workflow task to move from one step to the next.
